Everyone develops their own self schema. When you believe that you're worthless, it's like building yourself up for the sake of taking yourself down. Every thing you perceive is manipulated to reinforce that belief.
I love the concept and your description of you thoughts behind this piece! I think you did a wonderful job conveying your thoughts into this image. The muted neutral colour palette suits the mood behind the idea of this perfectly, but still has just enough colour to keep it interesting. The girl looks lovely, I really like the way you coloured her eyes/eyelashes. The pose is great as well, I love that she's all curled up and tucked into the middle of everything going on in this image. I especially like the flow of the rest of the image while the girl remains more static in the middle. It lends really well to the idea of ever moving thoughts that we all have, and that they really flow out of her. I particularly love the music notes and the old style water jug pouring the detail out of it. Her hair style is just adorable as well.
The pattern detail on the little buildings is gorgeous, as well as all the other details. They look like little doll houses! I like that this has something of a traditional, almost watercolour-like quality to it. The only critiques I can give on this piece it the girl and all the surrounding detail seems a little crooked. If you grabbed the whole section and rotated it ever so slightly to the right it would be perfect! The crop is also a bit close to the top of her head. It might be a more personal choice on my part, but I might suggest giving her a little more space above her head. Other than that I really don't have to much to critique in this piece. Absolutely lovely work, and a beautiful eye for detail!
