What Is Love

The theme 'what is love' was really hard to capture. :[ But I knew I had to draw something because I just graduated from high school and the theme was strangely appropriate for this particular phase in life.

I think true love is when someone or something you cherish must leave your life or walk a different path, and you know that he/she/it will always be a part of you. It doesn't have to be your significant other, it can be your childhood, imaginary friend, family...etc.

Love is not always a sparkly shower of smiles, but the things and people you love will always support you in their own special ways. I tried to represent that through the rainclouds, umbrellas, and slightly somber, but warm colour pallet.
