Wind in hair tutorial

"I know more people ask about how I colour, but tips on increasing/reducing motion in a picture was easier to condense lmao.

You can use ‘fake wind’ to amplify the action of a pose and the overall dynamic of an image. This is especially useful for action-packed pieces ex) when someone is punching someone, you can exaggerate the power of the action by drawing his/her clothes/hair flapping in the opposite direction, this helps imply that the punch has a very strong impact because it’s producing a ‘wind’ of its own.

Likewise I find that ‘dragging down’ an image by emphasizing vertical lines helps emphasize stillness. Horizontal emphasis works too, I just have a preference for vertical haha."
